Listening devices which are used along with a hearing aid. The site is not commercial and totally independant. Different devices are compared to allow you to decide which is best for you. Listening devices for the deaf

Saturday, 3 October 2009

I have recently learnt that two new listening devices are coming on the market. These are quality (wireless) listeners. One is called the Domino, is manufactured by Bellman & Symfon and will be marketed exclusively I gather, by the RNID. (Cost is £425 ex VAT). The other device is the Phonak Smart Link Plus. I have been trying this out in the last couple of weeks and will report just as soon as I can. My early assessment is that it is a highly sophisticated instrument and will need careful thought before making a decision.

I have plans to test them both and will be reporting on them on this website just as soon as they are available.

Otherwise an assessment of the (quality) listeners is available on a post published in July 2009. If you are wanting information about listeners you might be interested to read about my own experience. I would add that I have no comercial interest whatsoever.
